Voices of Impact

What Our Stakeholders Say

Words from partners, community leaders, and beneficiaries who have witnessed MASUM's work firsthand.

"

MASUM's community health sessions have been transformative for rural women. Their field teams bring awareness about reproductive health to remote villages where no government program has reached. Their grassroots approach is exactly what Maharashtra needs.

"

Before MASUM came to our village, women had no voice in gram sabha meetings. After their political empowerment workshops, seven women from our village now stand in local elections. I am one of them — elected Sarpanch for two consecutive terms.

"

MASUM stands out among Maharashtra's civil society organisations for its rigorous, rights-based approach. Their documentation of violence against women provides invaluable data for policy advocacy. Over 39 years they have built an irreplaceable knowledge base on gender justice in rural India.
